Hopi Ear Candle Therapy, South East London
Hopi Ear Candle Therapy, also known as Thermal Auricular Therapy, is an ancient therapy which was practiced by the North American Hopi Indians of Arizona as a sacred ritual to cleanse and harmonise. Hopi translates to ‘peaceful people’.
It is a pleasant, non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions. The ear candles induce a revitalising heat upon the head and ears, which soothes, relieves and relaxes.

What a typical Hopi Ear Wax Treatment Session entails
The hopi candle is a hollow tube made of cotton flax and infused with medicinal herbs and is placed gently into the outer ear. When lit, the candle creates a light chimney effect, massaging the ear drum and ear canal through vibration and warmth, drawing out wax and impurities and clearing the ear, sinuses and nose. This helps to balance the pressure in the ears, forehead & sinuses, creating a lighter feeling in the ear and head. A soft crackling sound may be heard during the treatment as the candle burns. A facial massage is also carried out to improve circulation and lymphatic drainage, making it a very soothing and calming treatment.
