Thai Foot Massage
Its origins
Practiced for over 5000 years and originating in China, Thai
Foot Massage as seen everywhere in Thailand today has developed from Chinese,
Japanese, and Korean foot masseuses.
What to expect
from a treatment
The treatment
involves massage and stretching of the lower legs and feet to ‘open’ Sen
(energy) Lines, applying a variety of massage techniques using the thumbs,
knuckles and hands as well as a small wooden stick. This specifically designed
stick is used to stimulate the reflex points on the feet that correspond to the
internal organs of the body. Thai Foot Massage stimulates these points to
promote general health and well-being.
During
a treatment, aromatherapy massage oils, specifically blended to suit your
needs, are used to warm and relax the muscles and soften and moisturise the
skin.
